Mutare- Firebrand human rights activist Abigail Mupambi has described the Nelson Chamisa led opposition party Movement for Democratic Change as ‘a barbaric and primitive’ party that is worse than the former President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe’s regime in terms of violence.
Mupambi who is the National Coordinator of the Civic Society and Churches Joint Forum (CSCJF) told the Zimbabwe Morning Post on Wednesday that the MDC was a party with a culture and tendency of violence.
Her comments came after the violent attack of Zimbabwean minister Sibusiso Moyo by perceived MDC supporters in United Kingdom recently.
“This is a primitive and barbaric way of handling issues of concern,” she said adding that there was a better way of solving issues than to resort to violence.“MDC must stop this culture of violence and hooliganism. No one is disputing that there may be issues of concern but they have no right to act worse than the Mugabe system,” said Mupambi.
