A 28-year-old Ruwa man has appeared before a Harare Magistrates’ Court after he struck a 58-year-old man with an iron bar on the head in road rage attack.
The attack unfolded on February 25 at around 16:30 pm after accused person Brighton Chiketero and complainant Pio Harutsanyi were involved in a road traffic accident along Robert Mugabe road near Msasa.
The Chiketero did not stop after the accident but drove off towards the City Center, the court heard.
The complainant followed the accused car and managed to block it in Hillside just near OK Mart shopping centre.
This did not go down well with the accused who instantly became a raving madman and started attacking the 58-year-old man on the head with an iron bar.
The ZRP Braeside police attended the scene which resulted in the arrest of the accused person.
