- Says its a different birthday in the ‘new normal‘
- refuses to disclose name of ‘mystery’ boy-friend
- denies pregnancy reports
SOUTH AFRICA-based Zimbabwe businesswoman and philanthropist Luminitsa Jemwa celebrated her birthday in style and revealed a new baby – a brand spanking Range Rover given to her by a mystery boyfriend, Zim Morning Lifestyle can report
In an exclusive interview with Zim Morning Post Lifestyle on Thursday, the twenty-something year old Lumi (her moniker) was quick to note that she adhered to lock-down regulations and her celebrations this year had coronavirus victims at heart.
Last year, she hosted a lavish party where she parted with US$60,000.
“Well, although I am happy to turn a year older, my heart bleeds with the current situation around the globe. This a new normal, lives are being lost and no cure is yet to be found for the COVID-19 pandemic,” Lumi said.
“When it comes to the mini celebration I had, I can say that I am not stupid and heartless,” she said.
“All the safety precautions were taken and the number was kept to a minimal way below what regulation allows.”
“However, I’m not one to divulge details of my private life to the media, all I can say it was an amazing day,” she added.
The mini-reception was hosted by one of the best in the South Africa culinary business Chef Keldon from Google Restaurant, an elite joint in Johannesburg.
Lumi, however, refused to divulge the mystery man behind the Range Rover gift, she simply said: “He is my boyfriend that is enough information”.
Lately, there have been murmurs that Lumi is pregnant with a top politician’s baby, and images of her carrying a young baby raised suspicion.
Could it be her baby?
“In any case if I get pregnant, should I climb on top of the mountain and tell the whole world.
“Bottom line is I’m not preggy (sic),” Lumi said with a chuckle.
She revealed that she is in the process of liasing with her Zimbabwe based team to identify needy young women with view of supplying food hampers and sanitary wear.
“My team in Zimbabwe is identifying needy girls and women so that we give them sanitary wear and food hampers.
“I understand the Covid-19 induced lockdowns have crippled the livelihoods of many families since there is no income.
“I’m mobilizing resources from my international contacts and I got headway,” she said.
The media-shy Lumi, was last year named Zimbabwe’s sexiest socialite by entertainment website, Zimbuzz, in the inaugural edition of Zimbabwe’s Top 15 Sexiest Women.
