Zimbabwe national soccer team better known as the Warriors have threatened to boycott their opening match with Egypt at the 2019 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, Zim Morning Post has learnt.
News reaching us has it that the players are locked up in a tense meeting with top ZIFA officials as they demand their unpaid salaries.
Meanwhile, ZIFA president Felton Kamambo and a group of fans and journalists are reportedly stuck at Robert Mugabe International airport and efforts are being made so that they take off at Thursday mid -night.
However, it is feared that the journalists who are part of the contingent might miss the accreditation deadline in Cairo and likely watch the match in the comfort of their hotel rooms.
