- Matiza acknowledges company’s international status
- CEO Mambo takes pride in company in housing projects such as Madokero and Mabvazuva
A LEADING Zimbabwe construction entity, Exodus and Co, this week received an ISO certificate from Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) in environmental and quality management systems, Zim Morning Post has learnt.
ISO certification stands as approval that a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure posseses all the ingredients for standardisation and quality assurance.
Speaking at the signing ceremony this week, Transport and Infrastructure development minister Joel Biggy Matiza said the company had grown from a mere housing development initiative to a renowned international company involved in the construction of standardised roads, including sewer and water reticulation systems.
“The company has exponentially grown from the famous housing development projects of Madokero and Mabvazuva to broader and national physical infrastructure development initiatives which include road rehabilitation construction,” he said.
Director General of SAZ, Eve Gadzikwa also applauded Exodus and Company for a job well done, saying construction companies like Exodus and Company should identify and use relevant standards for the development of Zimbabwe.
“I, therefore, urge Exodus and Company, including the construction Industry in general, to identify and use relevant standards for the development of Zimbabwe,” Gadzikwa said.
The chief executive, Progress Mambo, said SAZ awarding their company an international certificate had confirmed to the world that Exodus and Company priorities quality customer services and the environment.
“The ISO standards we have implemented are internationally recognised and as a result, our compliance with them should assure you and the rest of our stakeholders that we take quality, customer services and environmental protection very seriously.” Mambo said.
Exodus and Company is a well known entity that has taken part in the construction of the Masvingo-Beitbridge Highway and housing development projects of Madokero and Mabvazuva Low Density surbubs in Harare.
The company is also among one of the top five awarded a contract in the construction of the Masvingo- Beitbridge Highway.
