THE European Union (EU) and International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) on Tuesday donated court recording equipment to the Harare Magistrates’ anti-corruptions court.

ICJ said recording and transcribing devices is key in operationalising the anti-corruption court.

The digital recording equipment ensures timely delivery and prompt access to the record,” ICJ said in a statement.

The ICJ over the years has focused mostly on the judiciary, implementing a reform programme that has included capacity development initiatives, normative changes, restructuring and development of strategy,” ICJ continued.

“The ICJ has since consolidated the gains made in the judiciary by integrating its work to include reforms to legal education and training capacity development for the National Prosecuting Authority.”
