Dr Pashy strikes back: How Thabo & Nandipha duped her with a fake deal and stole her identity
Dr Pashy, a renowned medical doctor and philanthropist, has finally decided to take legal action against two con artists who tricked her into handing over her personal documents and used them for criminal purposes. Dr Nandipha Magudumana and Thabo Bester are facing charges of theft, fraud, forgery and uttering after they allegedly lured Dr Pashy into a bogus business deal and made off with her passports, bank statements and other sensitive information.

The scam began when Dr Magudumana and Mr Bester approached Dr Pashy with an offer to invest in a lucrative medical project in Africa. They claimed to have connections with high-ranking officials and influential partners who could help Dr Pashy expand her humanitarian work and reach more patients in need. They also promised to pay her a hefty commission for her involvement.
Dr Pashy, who is known for her generosity and compassion, agreed to join the project and trusted the duo with her personal documents, which they said were necessary for the paperwork and legal formalities. However, she soon realized that she had been duped when the duo stopped answering her calls and emails and disappeared without a trace.
Dr Pashy later discovered that her documents had been used to open bank accounts, apply for loans, purchase properties and conduct other fraudulent transactions in her name. She also received threats and harassment from creditors and debt collectors who demanded payment for the debts incurred by the fraudsters.
Dr Pashy reported the matter to the police and hired a private investigator to track down the culprits. She also contacted the relevant authorities and institutions to alert them of the identity theft and cancel any unauthorized transactions. She said she was shocked and devastated by the betrayal and vowed to seek justice.
“I trusted them because they seemed professional and credible. They used my passion for helping others as a weapon against me. They not only stole my money, but also my reputation and dignity. I will not rest until they are caught and punished,” she said.
The criminal lovebirds were recently arrested in Tanzania and are yet to answer for more fraud charges.
