“Ming Chang Sino Africa Mining Investment has set up a multi-million dollar brick-making plant at Bell Riverplea Plant in Kwekwe, Midlands Province,” partly reads the statement.
According to the company, the initiative comes as a way of supporting the government’s National Development Strategy 1 of industrial development and employment creation.
The company also stressed out that their main agenda is to stimulate the country’s economic growth by producing bricks, resulting in the revitalisition of the highly dilapidated industrial sector.

“The brick-making plant in Kwekwe has already employed about 21 locals and this is just the beginning as the company will be considering expanding its production capacity in the future,” the company in a statement.
At the moment the company has only managed to create employment for 21 citizens who reside in Kwekwe.
The new employees will reportedly work under the supervision of a Chinese manager.
Furthermore, Ming Chang also revealed that the brick-making plant will only be capacitated to a production of 20 000 bricks a day.
Coloured and hollow bricks are some of the products that will be produced at the new plantation, though the company also promised to meet various specified needs of its clients.
Meanwhile, prior to the establishment of a brick plantation in Kwekwe, Ming Chang already established itself in the country through mining.
In the meantime, the company is carrying out mining in different parts of Zimbabwe including Kwekwe, Shamva, Bindura, Mazowe and Kadoma.
