A NEW and vibrant social soccer league has sprung up in Harare called Captain Francis Enterprises League, the league is the brainchild of Francis Kaowa, an ambitious young man whose main dream is to help his community through sport.
Speaking to Zim Morning Sport Kaowa said that he wants to see his community developing and the only way for him to achieve the dream is through sport.
“I stay in Highfields and my dream is to develop my community and the best thing to do that is through sport,” said Kaowa.
Kaowa said that he got some experience and ideas in Germany where he spent at least 45 days.
“I was in Germany and this is where I shared my dream with my European friends who liked the idea and they said that they will support the league though we started with a tournament which was won by Mashanishani,” added Kaowa.
Kaowa will also be partnering with a partner from Germany to sponsor the league.
“I have my partner in Germany Elke Timm she will sponsor again the league under her personal project Beauty and Nails,” Said Kaowa.
Highfield and Glenorah residents have welcomed the introduction of the league saying that it will keep young people away from drugs and other illegal activities.
“This is a good move and we hope young people in our community will embrace this great initiative as this will keep them away from illegal activities,” Said Tinashe Chakadza.
The teams which are in the league are Captain Francis Boozers , Empire , Glenorah B, Hurricanes, Mashani shani , Real drugs, Sharks, Shabeen, Towerlight and Usahwira
