FORMER Chitungwiza town clerk George Makunde, in cahoots with former counsellor Charamba Mlambo, on Thursday allegedly hired thugs to block entrance into Mayor Lovemore Maiko’s office.
After inserting a key blocker into the lock of the mayor’s door, the two went on to invite The Herald and ZBC, claiming that the blocking of the mayor’s entrance was the work of disgruntled Chitungwiza residents over poor service delivery and abuse of power.
It is not clear whether the two State media institutions eventually descended on Chitungwiza Town Council as per invitation by the two former Chitungwizat Town Council employees.
