Harare City Council (HCC) has reviewed the housing waiting list application fee to ZWL 200 with immediate effect.
This was revealed in a statement released Tuesday.
“If land becomes available the department considers level of savings and earnings by those on the list and uses the first serve basis on waiting list,” read part of the statement.
“Candidates are called in for an interview and land is allocated to the successful candidates,” the statement reads.
The Harare City Council last month initially proposed housing waiting list fee of RTGS$150 per six months, but the fee has been reviewed upwards.
A person can wait for a minimum of 6 months.
