Zimbabwe invites the world to experience African tourism at world tourism expo
HARARE – Zimbabwe is ready to welcome the world to its premier international tourism showcase, the Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, which will take place from 12 to 14 October 2023 in the vibrant City of Bulawayo.
The annual event, organized by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, aims to promote Zimbabwe as an irresistible destination for travellers looking to experience the beauty, heritage, and hospitality of Africa.
The Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo will bring together key players and stakeholders in the global tourism industry, offering a platform for networking, collaboration, and showcasing the best of Zimbabwe’s rich tourism potential.
This year’s expo celebrates the resilience, dynamism, and untapped potential of Zimbabwe and Africa as premiere tourism destinations. With a diverse range of destinations, wildlife, heritage, culture, and adventure offerings, Africa is emerging as a top choice for travellers worldwide.
Participants can expect a variety of engaging and interactive activities during the expo, such as business-to-business meetings, a tourism investment forum, an aviation sector conference, a career guidance session for upcoming tourism leaders, and award ceremonies to recognize outstanding contributions in the tourism sector. Buyers will also have the opportunity to visit some of the country’s incredible tourist attractions, such as Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Great Zimbabwe Monument, and Matobo Hills.
Expo will beam the light on Zim tourism
ZTA’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms Winnie Muchanyuka expressed her excitement about the upcoming event, saying, “The 2023 edition of Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism will beam the light on tourism and place the entire travel and tourism on center stage. We look forward to showcasing the beauty, heritage, and hospitality of our country, and promote Zimbabwe as an irresistible destination for travellers looking to experience authentic African tourism,” she said.
Muchanyuka also encouraged new players in the tourism sector to register as exhibitors and take advantage of the expo to market their businesses to the broader tourism family and international buyers. “We’re encouraging the upcoming tourism players who have difficulties in accessing the market to come and register as exhibitors and be able to use this platform to market their facilities to the broader tourism family and more so to the visiting international buyers,” she said.
Registration for the 2023 edition of the Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is now open and can be completed online. “Space is quickly running out attendees are encouraged to register early to secure their place at this prestigious event,” added Muchanyuka.
