Bulawayo – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of two women, Nokuthula Sibanda (63) and Nothando Ndlovu (48), in connection with a series of fraudulent job placement scams that took place between December 2022 and November 2024 in Bulawayo.
The suspects allegedly misrepresented themselves as agents specializing in job placements in the United Kingdom, convincing their victims to part with large sums of money. The police report reveals that the duo defrauded the complainants of a total of US$47,811 in cash.
The two women face charges related to eight separate fraud cases, which they are believed to have perpetrated over the course of nearly two years. The ZRP is continuing its investigations and has urged anyone who may have fallen victim to similar scams to come forward.
Sibanda and Ndlovu are expected to appear in court soon as the authorities work to ensure that justice is served.
