FOLLOWING President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s stern warning on land barons,Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission (Zacc), has sharpened it’s teeth on the alleged culprits and the latest victim is Arthur Mudavanhu who allegedly irregularly parcelled out land in Meyrick Park working in cahoots with incarcerated Harare City Council officials.
Investigations by this publications established that Mudavanhu and an unidentified partner acted as proxies for HCC officials and purported to have full documentation for two residential stands in Meyrick Park.
“Mudavanhu and his friend are working with council officials to dupe home seekers in Mabelreign and I can prove it,” said our trusted source.
Mudavanhu was not picking his phone when reached for comment.
Lately, HCC has been hit by massive murky land deals that has grabbed Mnangagwa’s attention.
This has sent the Harare mayor Herbet Gonna been arrested along with more than 10 other senior officials including Arthur Marara and Addmore Nhekairo among others.
Meanwhile, Harare mayor Jacob Mafume was recalled making him the shortest serving mayor in history.
