The MDC-T has recalled 9 legislators from Parliament saying they no longer serve the interest of the party.
The recall was announced on Tuesday afternoon by the Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda.
The nine MPs are Amos Chibaya, Happymore Chidziva, Concilia Majaya Mucharairwa Mugidho, Virginia Muradzikwa, Anna Muyambo, Francesca Ncube, Nomathemba Ndlovu and Murisi Zwizwai.
The latest move by party secretary-general Douglas Mwonzora and party leader Thokozani Khupe bring the total number of legislators recalled to 13.
The MPs are said to be some of the strong supporters of MDC Alliance Nelson Chamisa who was declared illegitimate leader in April.
The purge in the opposition started after the Supreme Court (SC) Judgement declared that Khupe was the legitimate acting leader when former Prime Minister and party founder Morgan Tsvangirai died 2018.
The court ruled that the appointment of Chamisa and Elias Mudzuri was unlawful therefore ordering the party to revert to the 2014 party structures.
