PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa will Thursday evening leave the country for Botswana where he will attend the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of the country’s fifth president, Mokgweetsi Masisi in Gaborone set for Friday, Zim Morning Post can report.
Masisi was declared President-elect after his party, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), won the general election held on October 23.
Harare has enjoyed cordial diplomatic relations with Gaborone, cemented since the late Ketumile Masire’s reign.
Meanwhile, Mnangagwa is expected to officiate at the graduation ceremony at Great Zimbabwe University in Masvingo on Friday afternoon.
