The Nelson Chamisa’s Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) much awaited Congress has been set for May 2019.
In an interview with Zim Morning Post MDCA spokesperson Jacob Mafume confirmed that the Congress will be held from 24-26 May at a venue to be announced.
“It is true our Congress is in May at a venue to be announced by the organising committee,” confimed Mafume
The MDC has been on logger heads about the issue of Congress since the death of the founding leader Morgan Tsvangirai.
According to sources in the MDC there are three factions who are vying for the Presidential position in the biggest opposition in the country .
” We have 3 factions running for the Presidency which include President (Nelson ) Chamisa, Engineer (Elias) Mudzuri, and Secretary General Douglas Mwonzora,” said the source.
