Bulawayo-Warriors speedy winger Kudakwashe Mahachi has made a move from ABSA premier league giants Orlando Pirates to Pretoria based side Supersport United.
Mahachi who joined the Soweto giants last season from a loan deal with Golden Arrows, leaves the Buccaneers along with Thamsanqa Gabuza.
Orlando Pirates confirmed the move on their official website, on Thursday afternoon.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club has reached an agreement with Supersport United for the services of Kudakwashe Mahachi and Thamsanqa Gabuza.
Orlando Pirates Football Club would like to thank SuperSport United for the professional manner that these negotiations were held. The Club would like to wish Gabuza and Mahachi the best of luck in their future endeavours,”
Speaking to Orlandopiratesfc.com, striker Gabuza appreciated his stay at the Buccaneers.
“I would like to thank the entire Orlando Pirates family for all they have done for me during my stay here; I leave here with a lot of wonderful memories and lifelong friendships.
“I would like to also especially thank the Chairman for the father figure role he has played in my life,” he said.
The former Chicken Inn and Highlanders winger- Mahachi joins Zimbabwean gaffer Kaitano Tembo and forward Evans Rusike.
The Absa Premiership is expected to start on the weekend of August 2 to 4.
Meanwhile, Kuda Mahachi is with the Zimbabwe Warriors team in Cairo, Egypt for the Total AFCON finals.
He is yet to get game time in the first two matches compelling him to protest on Instagram in a move that was lambasted by some sections of fans who deemed it as an act of ‘indiscipline’ .
