Former UZ Vice Chancellor Nyagura matter postponed

Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe, Prof Levi Nyagura who was forced into retirement will know his fate on Thursday following an unforeseen postponement of the matter in which he is applying for exception of charges before the Acting Chief Magistrate Munamato Mutevedzi.

Nyagura who is facing corruption charges in connection with former First Lady Grace Mugabe’s PhD was set to hear the ruling of the court,  on his application to have the ‘baseless’ charges quashed.

Mutevedzi was not around to pass his ruling on the application as was scheduled and the matter was postponed to Thursday.

Nyagura has denied the charges on the basis that they do not constitute a criminal offense.
