Eat n’ Lick Serves Thousands at CUT Graduation

CHINHOYI, Zimbabwe — Eat n’ Lick, a fast-growing Zimbabwean fast-food chain, provided catering for thousands of attendees at Chinhoyi University of Technology’s 21st graduation ceremony Thursday, where President Emmerson Mnangagwa officiated the conferral of degrees to more than 3,100 students.

The event drew students, families and service providers, with Eat n’ Lick serving meals to more than 4,000 guests. The company said it offered “first-class food” including flame-grilled chicken, shawarmas and other signature dishes.

Mnangagwa announced that the university had acquired 40 hectares of land in Kadoma for the construction of a new engineering campus. The facility will manufacture laboratory equipment for schools and serve as a teaching and learning center for engineering students.

Vice Chancellor David Simbi said consultations are underway to transform Chinhoyi Provincial Hospital into a teaching hospital for the university’s School of Health Sciences. He said the institution continues to grow in enrollment and student performance.

Two students, Chipfupi Thandeka Solomy and Maveneke Tadiwanashe, received $1,000 awards from the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor for outstanding academic achievement.

The university also operates an agro-industrial park that has begun producing goods from agricultural inputs.
Eat n Lick said it remains committed to supporting national milestones and academic institutions through its catering services.
