Zimbabwe Premier League champions FC Platinum have signed former player Rodwell Chinyengetere from Baroka FC on a six-months loan deal.
FC Platinum media liason officer Chido Chizondo confirmed the striker had briefly rejoined the Zvishavane giants.
“We would like to confirm that Rodwell has joined us on a loan from Baroka FC for the remainder of the season,” Chizondo told Zim Morning Post.
“It’s a welcome return. We are looking forward to his positive input in the league and the (CAF) Champions League,” she added.
The 2018 Zimbabwe footballer of the season arrived at Baroka in January on a two-year deal after signing in November.
He returns to FC Platinum at a time the side is assembling a squad for the CAF Champions League.
The side has been hit by a massive exodus of players to an extent that they recently fulfilled a league fixture against Manica Diamonds with only 13 players after contracts of most players lapsed at the end of June.
The side has also seen its star players like Elvis Moyo and Kevin Moyo being snapped up by South Africa ABSA Premiership side Chippa United
Godknows Murwira unceremoniously left the Zimbabwe Champions frustrated by lack of game time.
He recently joined Dynamos.
