- Tinmac allegedly snubbed two of Chiwenga’s events held at his homestead
- The transport mogul, instead hosted a mini gala in his constuency leaving Chiwenga in the cold
WEDZA South parliamentarian Tinoda ‘Tinmac’ Machakaire has reportedly ditched his long-time ally and provincial kingmaker Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, Zim Morning Post has learnt.
Impeccable sources told this publication that the relationship between the two seems to have hit rock bottom, following his snubbing of two important events hosted by Chiwenga at his Wedza homestead.
“The relationship between Chiwenga and Tinmac is getting frosty.
“It is not clear why the former blue- eyed boy is distancing himself from the VP,” revealed our source.
The transport mogul allegedly snubbed Chiwenga’s welcome party when he returned from China, and instead went on to donate a vehicle in Chigondo area.
On Christmas day, Chiwenga also held another event at his homestead where his henchmen made a beeline to attend, but again Tinmac snubbed.
“Tinmac instead hosted musicians and held a mini gala on the day Chiwenga had a event at his homestead,” added our source.
Efforts to get a comment from Tinmac were fruitless as he did not respond to questions sent to his mobile phone and he did not pick up.
Tinmac is believed to be close to Kuda Tagwirei who is Chiwenga’s ally.
The Zanu PF youth league once implicated him on a list of corupt businessmen, but he was later to be cleared.
He is the conduit between deals done by most politicians with Tagwirei after the energy mogul dumped former ‘runner’ Obadiah Msindo.
