Following a terrible traffic disaster that occurred early Sunday morning along the Chivhu-Murambinda road, at least 12 passengers on a Timboom bus headed for Harare are currently listed as being deceased.
Police reported that there were 40 passengers on the bus on Sunday.
Police stated that on April 16, 2013, at 6:30 AM, a Harare-bound Timboom bus carrying 40 passengers crashed at the five-kilometer peg along Chivhu-Murambinda Road. The driver was among the 12 fatalities.
The accident is still receiving attention from police details. In due time, more information will be made public, according to authorities.
The unfortunate occurrence comes after a bloody Easter weekend in which 288 nationwide road traffic incidents were reported throughout the solemn religious holiday, resulting in at least 30 fatalities.
