A 26-YEAR-OLD Domboshava was on Monday arraigned before the Harare Magistrates’ Court for stabbing his ex-wife after seeing messages from her boyfriend.
The accused Ronald Chipfupi who resides in Munyengeterwa village Domboshava is alleged to have stabbed his 17-year-old ex-wife Zvikomborero Ishmael once on the left side of the neck before stabbing her on the back.
Chipfupi and Ishmael are said to have met at the Business centre on December 20 with Chipfupi pleading with his ex-wife for them to reconcile.
Ishmael tentatively agreed before the two headed to see Chipfupi’s mother to firm up the reunion.
On their way to the mother’s homestead of the accused person, Chipfupi saw messages from complainant’s boyfriend which were in Rudo Simango’s phone, Ishmael’s friend.
The court heard that Chipfupi took a kitchen knife from his trousers pocket and stabbed the complainant.
Simango who was in the complainant’s company called for help.
Chipfupi is said to have only dropped the knife when a crowd gathered.
Accused made a police report at Chinamhora Police Station and she was referred to the hospital for medication.
Chipfupi was denied bail when he appeared before magistrate Francis Mapfumo who referred the matter to High Court for a bail application.
